Supported the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in the acquisition and sustainment of all NetOps solutions for operating and defending the enterprise. Acted in the capacity of a trusted agent advising senior government executives on strategic initiatives while providing a significant leadership role on major acquisition programs. Interfaced with prime vendors to ensure delivered solutions met operational and technical requirements. Delivered presentations containing analysis and recommendations on major engineering decisions.

Completed required coursework, oral and written comprehensive exams, and successfully defended a dissertation proposal toward a Ph.D in Computer Science.

Served nine years in various Field Artillery positions including 3 battery-level commands. The last 15 years were about providing communications, computing, and information technology services to the US Army and Department of Defense at the tactical and strategic levels.

Chief engineer for all human resource IT initiatives supporting US forces in Korea. Senior communications and technology officer for a 700 person forward deployed organization dispersed across the Korean peninsula. Managed the organization’s $1.3 million information technology budget.

Senior system engineer and architect in the Army’s most technologically advanced organization. Responsible for orchestrating the engineering talents of multiple government and contractor organizations to build an operationally viable network and automation architecture for a geographically dispersed, mobile organization.

Led a select and specialized team of 20 civilians and contractors responsible for all technology supporting DISA’s top level command center controlling world-wide communication and computing operations.

Led 108 military, government civilians, and contractors in round-the-clock operations to operate and defend DISA’s communications and computing infrastructure. Responsible for the strategic direction and operational environment of the Command Center watch operations.

Responsible for curriculum development and faculty leadership for the core information technology education providing cadets with Information Technology concepts.
