* Steps mission “is to enhance the educational outcomes for students from low-income families” in the Brookline, MA. * Work closely with high school graduate support and students on student loan literacy and managing student loan debt. * Provided in-service, financial workshops with staff that focused on retirement savings and met with individual members to provide financial counseling on subjects ranging from paying off student loans to strategies for improving credit scores.

Provide teachers with unbiased financial guidance to navigate the widely misunderstood and underutilized 403b retirement plan. Conduct regular 403b enrollment sessions and financial literacy workshops for educators. Responding to the Student Loan Crisis: Conduct regular workshops for educators to help them navigate the student loan labyrinth. A seriew of workshops provided on the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) and how to refinance your loans. Working in partnership with the Town established an exemplary 403b program that provides a menu of stellar investment options with low-fees and no-front or back-end surrender charges. The quality of the program is maintained through periodic assessment of retirement program offerings. Monthly financial articles for the BEU newsletter providing on-going financial education.

* Board of Trustees * Finance Committee. School budget oversight with a major focus on performing fiduciary oversight for the endowment asset manager, providing the annual performance review for the Board. * Education Committee. Established a partnership with the Camp Becket/Chimney Corners, a YMCA camp based in the Berkshires, providing scholarship opportunities for Esperanza students. * Provide Financial Literacy Workshops and advice to Esperanza staff, especially regarding 403b retirement investing and student loans.

* Provide opportunities for low-income students to participate in the summer camp experience and combat “the summer setback.” * With ongoing generosity from the Devotion School community and Friends of Devotion 501c3, sponsored over 250 students at summer camps and raised in excess of $200,000 from donations and matching funds.

* Provide individual clients with ongoing guidance on a range of financial subjects with a strong focus on retirement investing and estate planning. * Encourage investors to be patient investors, maintain a diversified portfolios of mutual funds with low fees.
