Led a grass-roots effort to consolidate groups that write similar but incompatible hardware validation code for identical products that became a fully-backed project. Expanded this into execution and data tooling as it evolved into a full platform. Tech stack for hardware validation was LabVIEW, TestStand, and C#. Tech stack for data tooling was JavaScript, Python, Docker, Jenkins, and MongoDB.

Designed experiments and acted as primary software developer for many of them. Also responsible for data analysis and preparation of technical papers. Published multiple times. Extremely varied role where the software development included data management, data analysis, embedded development, UI development, and general hardware control. Sample experiments were: - wrote all software for a box with 16 light fixtures that could be tuned to a setting (CRI, GAI, chromaticity coordinates, intensity, etc.) and stabilize on that setting indefinitely; designed experiments using this box that allowed users to evaluate various items (e.g., bowl of fruit) under the specified lighting condition - wrote much of the software for the Dimesimeter and the Daysimeter; these are wearable devices we designed in-house that monitor light exposure and activity; some of the software written was the code for the microprocessors (TI MSP430), UI for initializing and communicating with the devices, and tools for mining the data returned from the devices and generating results and figures for publication; designed numerous experiments using these devices; one particularly interesting one was developing software to automatically prescribe light treatments based on our data according to Richard Kronauer's model of circadian cycles (http://isites.harvard.edu/fs/docs/icb.topic59176.files/Due_Wk_03_Oct_4/Jewett_Revised_limit_osc.pdf) Primarily used C, MATLAB, and LabVIEW
