 Design new products and components according to customer needs and engineering specifications.  Redesign and improve existing products and components that require optimization.  Utilized SolidWorks to create steel, plastic, and fiberglass parts manufactured with laser cutters, CNC machining, break-presses, and computerized welders.  Contribute to prototype staging and provide complex solutions to unforeseen problems with prototypes.  Provide input into material selection for new and redesigned parts to optimize performance and durability.  Review existing processes and procedures, both in an office setting and in the manufacturing process, to develop more efficient methods of performance and output.  Created AutoCAD drawings for the manufacturing of electrical harnesses, hydraulic plumbing, and controls layouts; as well as parts pages for items not manufacture in house.  Create and develop original ideas and designs to solve existing challenges, both for customer product development and for business necessity, as well as researching existing products available on the market to determine if those products will meet the needs of the challenges identified.  Proficient in using proprietary products and software.

 Performed safety operations using metal detecting equipment and performed inspections for a large multinational company.  Monitored and used proprietary software to control the building’s access, lighting, fire, and camera systems.

 Efficiently sort, handle, and load freight into trucks and unload trucks with forklifts, attachments, and carts.  Load & unload freight from over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and straight trucks.  Performed duties in accordance with instructions from the shipper, as well as company, federal, and state regulations.

 Member of the store’s safety and procedure team; worked with very little supervision over job responsibilities.  Responsible for the loading, unloading, sorting, and stocking of over 7500 products in and out using forklifts and stock pickers.
