I started as an intern, under the supervision of Dr. David Owens, M.D, and Teri Vodden, M.A. Although I usually started as an intern, I usually ended up in management overseeing mental health staff and working with RN and Dr. Management, yes, but also counseling working with people with mental issues and also in the ER on many occasions.

As a Mental Health Professional I work with and specialize in dealing with client's with mental illness, including Schizophrenia/Bipolar Disorder and other mental health issues. I also continue to play at doing hair as a hairdresser and color specialist at a local beauty salon, Avati Salon in the West Clairmont area; one day per week, usually Friday. I also consult with doctors and lawyers regarding client treatment and placement. I am busy a lot of the time...

I graduated in 1976, then returned the next year to the same department as a Graduate Student, received a Masters degree but did not complete my PHD (ABD). I went on a few years later to USD and got my Masters Degree as a MFT. I loved the academic environment. Activities and Societies: none. When I was not at school, I was working and lived off campus.
