Robel Zewdu

I am a sophomore Finance major at the University of Maryland studying in the Robert H. Smith School of Business. My academic journey has not been linear, but it has strengthened my resilience, discipline, and clarity of purpose. Entering the university through Freshman Connection after not being admitted to my originally intended major taught me to approach challenges with persistence and strategic reflection.Through academic success and exploration, I discovered a strong interest in finance, investing, and equity markets. My passion developed further through the College Success Scholars program, where I conducted stock research, performed investment analysis, and presented findings to university leadership, including President Darryll Pines. These experiences strengthened my analytical skills, public speaking abilities, and leadership capacity. I now serve as a CSS Team Leader, mentoring students and contributing to program development.I am driven by continuous growth, integrity, and long-term value creation. I am currently seeking opportunities in investment analysis and equity research where I can apply financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis skills while continuing to grow as a future investment professional.
