His consulting work includes mergers of US healthcare organizations, promoting innovation in science and technology and work with global foundations in Brazil, Ethiopia and South Africa on building human capital and improving health care, education, and environmental sustainability. He has been married to Diane, an acquisitions librarian, for over 40 years and they have a son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. Rob sails when there is wind and gardens when there is not.
