Responsible for the corporate safety program with duties including: conduct safety inspections, oversee the development, management and implementation of a variety of safety programs, policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance as mandated by local, provincial, and federal agencies including the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Code (OHS), counsel employees and management regarding assigned areas of responsibility and makes recommendations for solutions to safety problems, manage the response to/and investigation of reports of hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions; reviews recommendations and/or takes appropriate action in order to mitigate potential safety, health, and environmental risks, supervises the administration of the Workers' Compensation Laws, accident investigations, accident prevention programs, claims processing, preparation of reports and record keeping, and rehabilitation programs, oversee employee safety training programs, develop, maintain and prepare safety statistics, ensure company meets and maintains it’s COR/PIR requirements to maintain excellent overall standing, mentor, train and oversee Safety Officer position for housing division which reports directly to this position Erosion Control: manage and oversee erosion control inspection/education program, conduct erosion control site inspections to ensure compliance, coordinate necessary Erosion Control corrective measures and installations. Maintenance: oversee the yearly maintenance program, staff, operations and budgeting Vehicle Fleet Management: coordinate the purchasing/leasing/tracking of all corporate vehicles

Responsible for field operations within Hopewell Residential which includes: the construction and warranty of new home sales, safety and community maintenance in Calgary and surrounding areas. My team consists of Operations, Construction, Service and Safety Managers, site supervisors, environmental coordinator, warranty technicians and laborers. As a department we are responsible for setting construction policies and procedures, managing our trade and supplier partners, budgeting, working with our sales teams and our customers.
