When I had volunteered to help my nephew with some homework, is when I realized that education wasn't just about facts and dates and theorems; it was about sparking curiosity and inspiring young minds to explore the world around them. That's when I decided to be a teacher. After that initial bolt of lightening, I volunteered to help more students with English and Mathematics. I soon found it to be my calling, and took steps to educate myself in the correct methodologies of teaching. Currently having majored in General Education (B Ed) and reading my Masters, I have almost 15 years of experience in teaching mathematics (in traditional settings as well as remote teaching), out of which 5 years are in the Middle East. Students learn at different paces. Methods that work well for one student may be less effective for another. My goal is to provide individualized instruction to meet the educational needs of each student in my classroom.
