PANalytical was formerly part of the Scientific and Industrial division belonging to Philips Electronics. In 2003 the division was sold to the British holding company Spectris and became PANalytical. When I began working for Philips Electronics in 1985, it was on Atomic Absorption, UV/Vis and Infra-red lines of spectrophotometers made by Pye Unicam in Cambridge, England. I soon after also worked on communications logging systems made by Philips. In 1987 I began working on Analytical X-ray equipment consisting of X-ray flourescence spectrometers and Industrial X-ray equipment as well. In 1990, I began working on X-ray diffractometers as well. Currently I install, maintain and service X-ray flourescence (WDXRF) and energy dispersive (EDX) spectrometers and X-ray diffractometer systems.
