Mereo is a UK-based rare disease focused company based in LONDON with an office in Redwood City CA. Mereo was founded in March 2015 and IPO’d on Sim in June 2016 (ticker MPH) Now dual listed on Nasdaq (Ticker MREO) having completed the merger with US listed Oncomed Pharmaceuticals Inc in April 2019. We have two rare disease products in late stage development which we intend to develop through to commercialisation and four non-rare disease products including two Oncology and two Specialty products which we intend to partner out for further development. Joined Mereo as CFO and member of the Board in January 2017. Since that time Mereo has raised equity and debt capital in the UK and completed the merger with a US listed company.

Shield Therapeutics PLC (STX) (www.shieldtherapeutics.com)listed on AIM in Feb 2016 having raised £32.5m. The group is a specialty pharmaceutical company with a number of products beign developed to treat unmet needs in a number of indications.The lead product, Feraccru is a novel treatment for Iron Deficiency Anaemia, launched in the UK and Germany in 2016 having received centralised EMA approval in Feb 2016. Having originally joined as an NED in early 2010, moved to full time CFO in April 2011 to work with the founders to build the business and raise over £30m of development funding from 2010 to 2015. Managed the IPO process through 2015 and early 2016. Member of the Board and senior executive team and responsible for Finance and Operations.

Shield ( www.shieldtherapeutics.com) was formed in 2009 by the European Leadership Team of Encysive Pharmaceuticals prior to its acquisition by pfizer. The company is focused on late stage development in niche indications or areas of unmet medical need. Its lead compound ST10-021 is entering Phase III trials in mid 2011 and this has the potential to become the first effective oral agent for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) in patients intolerant to ferrous compounds. Headquartered in Zurich with offices in the UK (Weybridge).
