Funds Management Middle Office Operations Assistant

Assorting foreign cheques into currencies, processing method of collection/negotiation, credit control, verifying validity. Updating FX rates on systems, batching cheques, inputting on system and filming for daily collections. Dealt with incoming calls and requesting indicators to be lifted from accounts at fraud office. Strengthened accuracy, numerical and communication skills in a pressurised environment as part of a team meeting deadlines.

Preparing case notes and costs, letters of correspondence, sorting mail, frank outgoing post, maintaining an effective filing and administration system and checking the office and client bank accounts. Travelling to High Court to issue proceedings, manning the office, answering calls and greeting clients, responsible for ordering office equipment and stationary. Adapted to completing different roles at short notice accurately, with a high degree of responsibility and meeting tight deadlines.

* Worked as part of a team in Central Point of Contact, Immigration and Asylum section. * Duties included ceasing asylum seeker's benefits where appropriate and updating case details on ACI database meeting daily targets and deadlines. * Customer service dealing with general enquiries on the phone from other departments.
