PROFESSION A Professional Banker holding ACIB London with over 40 years experience PRESENT POSITION Director The Finance Co Ltd and till 12 Nov 2015 Compliance Officer / Asst Gen Manager Plan Implementation at Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC PAST EXPERIENCE 40 years service at Commercial Bank (reputed as the Best Bank in SL) Experience in areas of banking whether it may be Domestic & International operations, Trade Finance, Credit (branch, regional & HO level), Marketing, local & overseas expansion,CSR and Compliance to name some. Just before taking on Compliance I was heading the Marketing and Plan Implementation functions. In this capacity, in addition to Marketing & Advertising, I was responsible for expanding the branch & ATM net work locally as well as overseas expansion. I have overseen the Sri Lankan branch network grow from 45 to the present level of 240 and ATM s from zero to over 600 today. I have also been closely involved in our pioneering introduction of Supermarket Banking to SL, CBCs entry to places such as B'Desh, Italy & Myanmar and CSR activities.
