Undertaking the creation of the production processes for the primer, colour and repair lines in the main paintshop. This position involved working with suppliers on production trials of consumable materials, as well as productivity and quality improvements. - Latterly, I also had responsibility for the direct manpower allocation and supervised 3 Production Engineers. Responsible for liaison with MIRRC Thatcham and managing the Insurance Group Rating process for all new Peugeot models launched to ensure that a new vehicle met UK security requirements. - Role involved specifying security enhancements for vehicles at pre-production stage ahead of the commercial launch - Role also involved an element of external liaison with other manufacturers, engineers and representatives from the police and insurance bodies. - Responsible for the Dealer Technical Helpline, providing assistance to the Peugeot dealer network in the repair of vehicles - Undertaking a project to transform the Technical Helpline from handling enquiries from the UK only to requests for technical assistance from over 40 other countries as far apart as the Carribbean and Iraq. This involved recruitment and training of suitable personnel to expand the workforce, and the launch of a shift pattern to maximise opening hours for the countries concerned.
