Adjunct Assistant Professor of Naval Science: University of California, Berkeley: Trained, advised, and educated more than 80 university students to groom them into naval officers. Managed $1.2 million budget and coordinated repair and requisition of all departmental facilities, telecommunications, and IT requirements.

Nuclear Submarine Officer: USS PORTSMOUTH (SSN 707): Managed 20 nuclear trained mechanics in the maintenance, repair, and operation of the submarine’s engineering systems. As Officer of the Deck and Engineering Officer of the Watch, responsible for the operation and maintenance of a $2 billion submarine and 150 personnel.

Lead the Strategy and Innovation, Product Development, Operations, and Design Engineering departments in the design, development, and commercialization of the Kairos Power Fluoride-Salt-Cooled, High-Temperature Reactor (KP FHR). Define, develop, and implement business processes and build the Kairos Power cross-functional organization and capabilities to deploy the KP-FHR. Define corporate strategic goals and objectives and establish operational plans to achieve them.

Led over 135-person department in the development, integration, and delivery of power conversion, power electronics, and control systems for defense and advanced industrial applications. Lead profit center with a $40M annual operating budget to generate 25% of sales of $135M division in $10B defense contractor. Develop operational plans and manage resources for eight engineering departments to achieve L3 business and strategic objectives. Define new business and technology growth opportunities, and lead research and development programs to maintain L3 competitive position and profitability.

Vehicle Engineering Supervisor: Led and coordinated six separate program engineering teams during prototype and production launches. - Devised new test and prototype build plan that mitigated component shortages and schedule delays, enabling a new vehicle program to retain initial launch timing. - Supervised design, development, and testing of a foundation brake solution to meet new regulations on a large SUV platform. Coordinated the simultaneous introduction of new brake components into the assembly plant, enabling continuous production and avoiding losses exceeding $3 million a day. - Certified Six Sigma Greenbelt. Designed and led plan using six-sigma tools, CAE, and Design for Six Sigma analysis to identify the root cause and to correct brake roughness warranty on large car platform. - Led team from chassis, body, and electrical engineering to design and package an innovative rear air suspension system for a forward model Lincoln sedan, including the construction of a prototype demonstration vehicle.

Commanding Officer, NR Commander U.S. Naval Forces Korea Headquarters/Vice Commander CNFK (2017 – present): Lead 113-person unit and eight CNFK detachments, comprising 320 officer and enlisted personnel, in delivering all Navy Reserve Component operational support to CNFK, Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, and Commander, U.S. Seventh Fleet on the Korean Peninsula
