* Undertook a review of a Walk-in Centre (WIC) and other primary care access services (GP Access Hubs and an A&E Diversion Scheme) in Lambeth. Review delivered within the agreed 6 week period and summarised in an options appraisal and business case with a recommended way forward. Work undertaken/products delivered included: * A review of national policy and relevant recent initiatives. * A review of current and previous documentation relating to the three services. * Analysis of utilisation and financial data. * Interviews with key stakeholders to identify issues and potential improvements. * Focused patient engagement with service users at the WIC and at the Diversion Scheme. * Identification of critical success factors for a future delivery model. * Development of options and an options appraisal. * Engagement with services users to discuss potential options and generate feedback. * Modelling of the potential activity and financial impact of each option. * Identification of a preferred option together with associated risks. * Identification of next steps.

* Fast turnaround piece of work, undertaken within 3 weeks for the 3 East Berkshire CCGs. Work undertaken/products delivered included: * Baseline exercise to identify current provision for each CCG by provider, including pathways and performance. * Horizon scanning for opportunities provided by technological and clinical advances. * Commissioning of bespoke finance and activity data from the CSU Analytics Team and the analysis of this plus provider performance data to establish provider variation and referral variation by GP practice. * Producing options for further work, including potential commissioning initiatives (five options) that would increase quality and reduce cost.

* Led a team of 4 including project managers and SMEs to develop NHS England’s Health and Justice 5-year Strategic Plan. Work undertaken/products delivered included: * Working with the customer to develop and agree the project approach. * Led stakeholder engagement with regional teams and other stakeholders across government to inform the content of the plan. * Produced a current situation baseline. * Designed and facilitated workshops to inform potential strategic change. * Developed improvement interventions on behalf of and for agreement by the customer. * Lead author of the draft plan that was delivered to the customer.

* Project Manager for a CSU, co-ordinating 5-year strategic planning activity across the CSU. Work undertaken/products delivered included: * Implementing systems for and managing activity and expenditure. * Co-ordinating work being undertaken by the CSU across 14 CCGs including relationship management with CCGs, tracking activity and running teleconferences. * Writing successful proposals and bids for the CSU to attract new business. * Recruitment of additional interim support. * Co-ordinating support from Ernst & Young to the CSU and CCGs.

Responsible for Corporate Office function including governance and support to the Board (Board Secretary). Organisational lead for Business Continuity and Emergency Planning: Planned activity and co-ordinated action within the PCT to move Department of Health Pandemic Flu preparedness compliance from 16% to 84% in 8 months. Benchmarked and rewrote the PCT’s Pandemic Flu Plan. Wrote a Borough Multi-Agency Pandemic Flu Plan. Implemented multi-agency co-ordination across a wide range of stakeholders across Islington and chaired Borough planning meetings. Devised and delivered multi-agency training. Developed internal methodology for undertaking business continuity assessments and producing business continuity plans.

* Executive member of the Thames Valley HIEC Board with responsibility for the establishment, development and day to day operation of the HIEC, including marketing, business planning and financial accountability of an organisation with an annual budget of £750k. This has included: * Programme Manager of up to 11 concurrent projects - designed and implemented rigorous project management procedures based upon, but not constrained by, PRINCE2 to meet organisational needs on a case by case basis. * Consultative working with stakeholders to identify issues and potential solutions. * Development of business cases for successful project funding bids. * Initiation and delivery of projects across a range of categories of care including Urgent Care, Scheduled Care, Long Term Conditions, Mental Health and Assistive Technologies. * Management of project leads from external organisations to ensure successful delivery. * Negotiation and management of contracts with external suppliers. * Development of communications plans to ensure the broad dissemination of successful innovative approaches.

Urgent Care commissioner. Lead for commissioning of community services with an annual budget of over £50m, controlling cross departmental activity to ensure delivery of high quality, cost effective services: Trust lead for clinical aspects of the Transforming Community Services (TCS) programme: development of the organisational approach; author of a 5-year Strategic Community Services Commissioning Plan; and programme management of five priority category reviews. Project manager for review of Neurological Conditions under the TCS programme leading to consolidation of in-County neurological rehabilitation services (costing £3m) under one provider. Trust lead for addressing in-year community services provider issues.
