Lisa Ricciardi
US and International Public Board Director Roles
About
As President and CEO of Cognition Therapeutics, I worked with company leadership to broaden our focus to other neurodegenerative conditions that might be addressed with our science. I then led the company through an initial public offering in 2021. Proceeds from the offering coupled with our $160M grant funding will support multiple ongoing and planned clinical programs, and the infrastructure build needed to drive our progress. We are under way with a program for mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s disease and are moving into early-stage disease later this year with our partners at the ACTC. With our broader research focus, we have also initiated a Phase 2 program in dementia with Lewy bodies and are advancing towards a Phase 2 trial later this year in dry age-related macular degeneration. As a senior executive with 20+ years of sell- and buy- side operating and business/corporate development experience, my career encompasses roles in therapeutics, biotech, genomics, medical devices, and pharmacy benefits. At Pfizer, I completed more than 2 dozen acquisition, co-development, and licensing deals ranging from $300M to $7B. Later at Foundation Medicine, I led the $1B sale of their genomics testing to Roche, and earlier played a leadership role in Medco’s $29B sale to Express Scripts. I have worked extensively within R&D environments and launched three $1B+ therapeutic products. Additionally, I have been the CEO of a start-up, building the funding, commercialization, and exit strategy for an innovative device. Together, my experience has prepared me to leverage the strengths I see at Cognition Therapeutics.
