As a project engineer I continued my duties as a graduate engineer, with the added responsibility of running numerous projects across the UK. The role took a holistic approach to managing an engineering project, with design, as-built and fabrication drawings, liaison with fabricators and site support. On top of project work, I was heavily involved in research and development for the company, and area that the company itself prides itself on. I attended conferences on behalf of the company to promote our services and expand out network in the marine engineering industry.

As a graduate engineer working for Proserve Ltd., I provided assistance on numerous UK and global projects providing concrete construction solutions to a variety of marine situations. The most notable projects included bridge pier foundations in La Reunion, and scour protection in Jeddah. My primary roles on these projects were in quality assurance and AutoCAD drawings, with regular communication between myself and fabricators. I was also responsible for taking enquiries, working on tender reports and providing site support.

I completed a summer internship with the structural engineering team of the RNLI. As an intern engineer, I was responsible for structural design of new-build lifeboat stations, as well as working on renovations for existing stations. Design was primarily steel and timber, with particular emphasis on the use of glulam elements. The role also involved regular site support and liaison with the contractors.

As treasurer of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu society I was responsible for ensuring a constant flow of money through the society, with the added goal of increasing the incoming so that we could provide better services to the students. Through the introduction of more training sessions, this was achieved. I worked to re-brand the society (as we had recently separated from MMA) by creating social media accounts and a new logo. With the extra money made we were able to provide branded kits to our member.

Summer job assisting in a warehouse that provides insulation solutions. The role involved regular communications with office staff and drivers, and working to tight time constraints.

Summer job working in the legal team of Calor Gas, providing assistance and communications to customers in arrears. This required careful conversation and empathy with customers, often having to conduct sensitive discussions for payment plans.

In my final year of university, I ran the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu society (approximately 30 regular members). The role required me to organise training with coaches, ensure that all payments were made, and oversee the general organisation of the society. My greatest achievement was successfully organising the society's first inter-university competition.
