About
Rhonda is a terrestrial and aquatic biological technician with more than 25 years experience working in the public and private sectors in the field of environmental and natural sciences for various government and non-government agencies involving linear, oil and gas, mining and energy projects. Her past experience includes: • Senior management responsible for coordination and implementation of multiple federal and provincial environmental assessment multi-disciplined projects and other biophysical assessments focused on land development. • Management of multiple environmental assessment reports and supporting documentation such as environmental protection plans, provincial and federal regulatory approvals, environmental monitoring programs and compensation plans. • Liaised with various provincial and federal authorities including first nation communities to secure approvals for project development. • Coordination and implementation of biophysical inventories (aquatic, terrestrial and species at risk), contaminated sites management and monitoring, environmental effects monitoring, oil spill response, construction compliance monitoring, environmental mitigation and contingency measures. • Directing and instructing project team members including scientists, engineers, planners, technologists and technical support staff on regulatory processes, environmental protective/mitigative measures, biophysical programs and monitoring requirements. • Contributed to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring.
