Led engineering design of 115 kV and 138 kV transmission lines with underbuilt distribution, utilizing steel monopoles and H-frame structures, including foundation design and calculations, and produced full construction packages. Completed engineering design for multiple 138 kV transmission lines (up to ~8.5 miles) with underbuild circuits, including foundation design, cost estimates, and construction documentation. Supported the engineering design of 345 kV H-frame steel pole structures for construction packages. Engineered 138 kV steel structures for transmission line cut-in connections to new substations. Provided construction-phase engineering support by reviewing and validating anchor capacities, evaluating structure utilization, and performing pole replacement analyses and structural adequacy and compliance with project requirements. Performed feasibility studies and prepared conductor selection reports for 138 kV transmission line projects.

Route Determination, Planning, and Calculation: Conduct detailed route analysis, ensuring optimal design and planning for powerline projects. Conductor and Pole Configuration Determination: Design and optimize pole configurations and conductor selection to meet project specifications and safety standards. Overhead Line Design Using PLS-CADD: Utilize PLS-CADD, PLS Pole software to create efficient and precise overhead line designs, incorporating all required technical and regulatory criteria. Design Criteria Development: Establish and refine design criteria tailored to the unique requirements of each project. Structural and Assembly Drawings: Develop detailed structural and assembly drawings to guide construction and installation processes. Procurement and Collaboration: Coordinate with vendors for material procurement and maintain clear communication with construction crews to ensure seamless project execution. Documentation and Project Control: Manage project documentation and ensure all deliverables are on schedule, adhering to quality standards.

Transmission & Distribution Line Design: Expertise in engineering design and modeling of transmission and distribution lines from 500 kV to 480 V, including overhead bare conductor and spacer cable systems. Proficient in PLS-CADD, delivering solutions for utilities such as BC Hydro, FortisBC, Duke Energy, Puget Sound Energy, and private clients. Responsibilities include preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) and complete drawing packages. Transmission Design Review: Conduct engineering reviews of transmission designs, including structural analysis of wooden poles to ensure integrity with proposed attachments. Resolve conductor clearance violations associated with proposed communication work. Project Communication & Delivery: Effectively communicate project concerns, updates, and design solutions with management, team members, vendors, and clients. Ensure timely preparation and delivery of project deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards
