Intern at Jaguar and Land Rover Research Center, WMG Design optimization & performance evaluation of adhesively bonded joints used in automotive structures - Undertook research projects on the utilization of light weight materials in car bodies. - Design & fabrication of different geometries of adhesive joints by varying material and joint design parameters - Conducted experiments on various samples to determine their Shear strength and Fatigue performance - Performed exploratory data collection and used regression techniques for data analysis. - A Reverse-bent adhesive joint with highest improvement in strength was designed

Title: Dynamic impact (high velocity) testing of armor materials (Ballistics) - Modeled (using Solid Works) and developed a gas gun facility to conduct high-velocity projectile impact tests. - Conducted ballistic impact experiments on sandwich composites made of different combinations of FRP, ceramics, foam, and SMA. - Developed an analytical model to estimate the energy absorbed by each of the failure mechanisms of the multilayered materials and projectile during ballistic impact which contributed to a manuscript in a journal
