Instructor for Ethnic Studies 1: Introduction to Ethnic Studies and Ethnic Studies 8: Introduction to Asian American Studies. Taught critical theories and case studies regarding, race, social stratification, education, labor, gender, and other topics within the United States. Also, participates in responsibilities such as hiring committee, curriculum development, and student advising and programming.

Instructor for ES 1: Introduction to Ethnic Studies

Provides consultation for Student Affairs departments, bringing all departments into compliance with divisional assessment and strategic planning expectations by building critical cross-functional relationships with departmental leadership, providing proactive and innovative solutions to departmental challenges, and implementing new data management and strategic planning digital platforms. Develops and implements interactive trainings for equity in university level research and assessment.

I teach Asian American Studies 210: History of Asians in America, a course that centers on the use of critical theoretical frameworks to examine the migration, acculturation, and experiences of Asian groups within the United States.

Created "Critical Issues in Asian American Education", an online seminar course for upper division students at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. Topics in the course intersected Asian American Studies, P-20 Education, Legal Studies, and other fields.

Developed and implemented course curriculum on class lectures for the following courses: AES 151: Identities, Cultures, and Power Across American Ethnic Groups, AES 340: Race and Ethnicity in Education

Provide consultation, analysis, and reporting for Student Affairs research projects. Worked in collaboration with UCLA's Healthy Campus Initiative to provide data collection and analysis for assessment projects.

Under the Student Affairs Information and Research Office (SAIRO), I provide professional development & training to the Undergraduate Research Partnership Initiative URPI interns (i.e. survey construction, transcribing, coding, interviewing, brief writing, presentations, running frequencies, cleaning data, data visualizations, and other skills sets related to assessment and research). I also co-create and coordinate assessment design, implementation and analysis consultation support for students and staff.

Developed and implemented course curriculum on class lectures and composition skills for the following courses: Asian American Studies 10/10W: History of Asian Americans, and Asian American Studies 20W: Contemporary Asian American Communities.

Mentored students on an individual and group basis to assist them in developing strategies for success and making plans for furthering their education in graduate or professional school. Co-developed and implemented the CAM on the Hill Program, where I provided CAM services in residential halls through advising and attending various Residential Life Programs.

Taught “Critical Strategies to Achieve Undergraduate Excellence” course to 25 incoming freshmen. lesson plans and discussion on topics such as university etiquette, student development theory, diversity, and strategies for performing well at research universities.

Advised incoming transfer anthropology students on course scheduling, academic performance, and petitions for various administrative issues. I also facilitated freshman and first year transfer orientation.
