Optimized OHT structure and verified design with Ansys Mechanical. OHT (Overhead Hoist Transfer, an unmanned vehicle for transporting wafer cassettes in the semiconductor.) • Conducted acceleration measurement experiments to define the simulation conditions and verified the design of the chassis structure. • Simplified the chassis with 9% less deformation and 24% less weight. Saved assembly time by removing lots of bolts. • Designed the new top plate of rails and planned verification programs. Reduced the deformation by 4% and lowered the costs by 76%. Optimized Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with Ansys Maxwell. • Rotor geometry parametric design of Internal Permanent Magnet (IPM) motor. Decreased the current by 12% and the magnet by 9% while maintaining the same torque target. • Simulated Lead Angle, Cogging Torque, and Demagnetization Curve. • Measured efficiency, temperature rise, and torque. • Drew 3D and 2D parts, assembled samples, and defined the test SOP. Led the Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT), established the machine SOP, and introduced new suppliers to improve quality. • Servo Motor Brake: Increased the lifespan by more than 10 times and added the function of lifespan estimation. Analyzed the elemental composition and failure mode. • OHT Wheel: Defined test standards and cooperated with suppliers to increase life expectancy by more than 4 times.
