Responsible for the on-air execution of each weekend newscast for WRDE. As Newscast Director, I would direct, operate the switchboard, call out commands and provide time cues for a live broadcast show.

* Place production for ALL national orders * Review, inject, and submit national orders * Create Go Sheets for National Order Remotes * Generating contract confirmations and invoices for staff upon request * Sending out spot times upon client request * Generating reports in Viero and Radio Fusion and preparing for managers/staff upon request, such as pool reports and unapproved credit * Manage new or old advertisers through Radio Fusion. * Performing general administrative duties including faxing, filing and copying * Relieving receptionist when necessary * Separate and distribute contracts to staff in a timely manner * Attend and contribute to weekly Sales meeting with the team * Provide assistance to staff regarding various software program * Assisting with National revisions when requested * Submit trade contracts and prepares trade orders * Communicating with traffic about any changes or updates to spots/traffic * Keeps track of canceled orders and emails managers updated cancellation tracker * Request Special Billing or any other invoice changes

The primary focus of the production assistant is to assist with the production of live news broadcasts, commercial and promotional projects by operating equipment such as audio consoles, studio cameras, location cameras and editing equipment. -Operates the studio cameras during live news broadcasts. Controls teleprompter. -Prepares studio for live and recorded news segments. Maintains studio lighting grid. -Reports malfunctioning studio equipment to engineering. -Operates the audio console during live news broadcasts. -Operates audio console during the recording of station produced local programming. -Sets-up and records field production by operating cameras, lighting and audio equipment for commercial and promotional projects. -Edits news segments using Edius. -Checks and prepares CGs and video. -Assist with other control room and on location duties as assigned. -Performs other duties as assigned.

* Assist donors by working via phone, web-chat and email. -Answers inquiries by clarifying desired information * researching, locating, and providing information. -Resolves problems by clarifying issues * researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions * implementing solutions * escalating unresolved problems. -Fulfills requests by clarifying desired information * completing transactions * forwarding requests. Sells additional services by recognizing opportunities to up-sell to donors * explaining new donation campaigns or merchandise. -Maintains call center database by entering information. -Keeps equipment operational by following established procedures * reporting malfunctions. -Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reviewing Heifers Knowledge Base. -Enhances organization reputation by creating a positive experience for donors via web-chat, phone or email.

My previous summer internship experience as a editor for 5 Star Productions, as well as my internship experience at Clear Channel Radio Group, have provided me with a strong base of communication knowledge and helped me learn how to develop and work on several projects at once, work quickly and efficiently, and further developed my interest in pursuing a career in media or communication field.

* To schedule and organize all chapter social activities. * To work with the social committee or appoint committees necessary for any social function. * To register all chapter social functions with Student Development. * To enforce all General Fraternity risk management policies and campus regulations during chapter social functions. * To work with the Risk Manager in maintaining discipline and setting up designated drivers at all chapter social functions. * To set up at least one alcohol free social each month. * To have dates of each social presented to the chapter one month before the event. * To set up at least one event per year that incorporates multiple organizations.
