SNAP Champions are current RMIT tertiary students who applied through the SNAP priority access scheme. SNAP Champions are paid employees of RMIT and contribute to I Belong through the delivery of interactive presentations focusing on demystifying the transition from high school to further education, dispelling myths and misconceptions.

For the 2022 season of Youth Parliament, I and my other colleagues from the KGI team wrote the ‘Free Public Transport for Concession Card Holders Bill 2022’ and introduced into the Youth Parliament, debated and voted upon during the sitting week held in the chambers of Parliament House, Victoria in July 2022. “Every Year the youth MPs work on different bills in a group of six people. Bills will be introduced into the Youth Parliament, debated and voted upon during the sitting week held in the chambers of Parliament House, Victoria. Upon conclusion of the sitting week, all Youth Parliament Bills are officially handed to the Minister for Youth to be disseminated to the relevant state Members of Parliament. Successful Bills are given assent by the Youth Governor of Victoria. The Bills are then handed over to the Victorian Government to consider. More than 25 Bills passed by Youth Parliament have gone on to become law in the past few years”.
