Applied MATLAB to analyze ship equipment data, identifying anomalies and creating a function to flag overlapping track data. Implemented a custom Wireshark dissector in Lua to decode radar data, independently translating over half of the message set. Evaluated the Shipboard Trainer system architecture in MagicDraw and resolved missing interfaces through gap analysis.

Organized a 50-person mentorship program guiding first-year students through the academic and social transition to college. Oversaw mentor and mentee outreach, matching 30 pairs through surveys and interviews, resolving conflicts efficiently. Supported 30+ workshops, networking events, and cybersecurity competitions, fostering a community for women in CS.

Increased accuracy of the temporal convolutional network (TCN) that classifies marine mammals based on their echolocation clicks by over 10% through cleaning up training data and adjusting hyperparameters. Uncovered imbalanced data distribution through experimental data analysis using Matplotlib and presented technical findings. Generated new labels for the TCN, leading to a 12% increase in the F1-Score compared to the original, inaccurate labels. Refactored the codebase for flexibility with modified data inputs, ensuring seamless integration with the TCN. Developed a software that allowed a bioacoustics expert to manually highlight echolocation clicks in 300 different acoustic files and automatically save the data off to a csv file 5x faster than the original method.

Analyzed over 300 audio files through the programming language R by attempting to define bioacoustics patterns. Performed qualitative and quantitative analysis on microcosm experiments and presented findings to peers and professors. Organized and conducted chemistry, invasive species, and water quality surveys in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
