I am independent thinker who investigates without prejudice all aspects of any subject that has been presented to me. I believe in service to the community, and I have been a longtime community volunteer for many years. For the past few years now, I have had the honor of being appointed to the Public Safety Committee, and I served in 2011 as Vice Chair. My volunteer experience has taught me to listen carefully to people, to be attentive and responsible at all times.

I am a township trustee and I serve on the board for my community with an equal vote in legislative and administrative government decisions within the jurisdiction of the township board. A trustee is an individual placed in a position of public trust with fiduciary responsibilities to manage the affairs of the township for the best interests of the public. The trustee has the responsibility to attend township board meetings and participate in decisions and deliberations. It is my responsibility to research important decisions before voting. I am also given additional responsibilities by township board.
