The Consulate General in Chicago provides consular services, unites the Lithuanian community, promotes Lithuanian culture and works towards enabling Lithuanian companies doing business in State of Illinois.

The mission of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry is to ensure sovereignty and security of the state by diplomatic means, long-term sustainable development of the country and well-being of its citizens, to protect legitimate interests of Lithuanian citizens abroad, to contribute to export promotion and attract investment. Key responsibilities: • Responsible for inter-institutional cooperation on resettlement from Venezuela and Ukraine to Lithuania • Developing proposals to improve the methodology for the reimbursement of diplomatic service expenses • Coordinating the implementation of project management in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
