Reece Marillier

After an incredible 10-year journey, the biotech company I worked for closed its doors. I joined the company as scientist fresh out of my post-doc as employee number 9. This afforded me a great opportunity to grow with company, to discover the joys and challenges of drug discovery, research and development, to develop as scientist and a manager. I’m proud to have directed a talented in vivo pre-clinical R&D team, contributed my expertise as a in vivo functional lead on small molecule and antibody programs while leading the development of research infrastructure and management. I'm excited to bring this experience to a new startup adventure or early stage biotech. Key achievements include: decision making data sets for advancement of immune-oncology assets from discovery to IND filing to first in human. Established a lab management team and the strategic expansion of cell cultures laboratories towards improved efficiency and adaptation to new areas of research. Established, from the the ground up, an in vivo animal facility through stakeholder coordination, ensuring compliance with industry and government regulations, adhering to ethical standards. Successfully advanced the careers of team members, guiding them from research assistants to scientists and principal scientists.
