Fauna & Flora International's work spans across the globe, with over 140 projects in over 40 countries, mostly in the developing world. We proudly stand up for biodiversity and aim to show just how relevant it is to all of those who share the planet. Fauna & Flora International is coordinating an initiative that will provide technical and practical support and best practice guidance to those coastal communities around Scotland who want to conserve their local marine areas. This builds on our existing partnership with the Community of Arran Seabed Trust (COAST), a community based organisation on the isle of Arran off the west coast of Scotland that has been uniquely successful in gaining protection for its local coastal area and has learnt important lessons that could prove invaluable to other communities. Ultimately the project hopes to create a network of communities, allowing them to work together to share their experiences and benefit from a louder voice in the debate around the future of Scotland’s seas.

Protecting the local wading bird species by live capture and removal of hedgehogs through daytime trapping and lamping at night.

Identifying funding sources, producing applications and reports, tracking funding conditions. Running the administrative side of the office and supporting the project's volunteers.

Training and supporting rangers in turtle protection and monitoring, including providing an emergency ‘on call’ service and scheduling workload. Responsible for running excavations to set target levels and monitoring data quality. Supervising and training short-term volunteers and students.

Running the logisitical, administrative and accounts aspects of the Supporting Communities in Neighbourhood Planning project. Neighbourhood Plans help communities secure the protection and enhancement of their local environment while providing housing, business, transport and energy development where they feel it is needed.

Supporting the implementation of a new financial system by analysing and manipulating data, coding payments, reconciling supplier accounts, monitoring invoices/payments and updating exchange rates. Training other users in use of the software and procedures.

Creating a GIS project to manage data collected from the Gola Forest Reserve in Sierra Leone, entering and verifying data and writing a user manual. Producing a report detailing forest biodiversity, usage and conservation issues.

We proudly stand up for biodiversity and aim to show just how relevant it is to all of those who share the planet. * Supporting the regional programme to produce, manage and report against programme and project budgets, to strengthen fundraising efforts and manage reporting to specific donors (EU LIFE+ and USAID). * Assisting the RD in delivering programme targets, managing the workload of the admin assistant and supporting regional staff and partner organisations. * Producing content for donors and the general public both paper based and online. * Admin, travel logistics and financial admin for the region.
