CAF-FCA is guided by a dedicated group of seventeen volunteer Directors drawn from all corners of Canada’s apprenticeship community. Their expertise provides strategic direction, allowing staff to provide stakeholders with the resources they need to inform policies and programs that contribute to Canada’s world-class apprenticeship system.

Senior Director of Indigenous Relations and Community Engagement leading enterprise strategy across multi-billion-dollar infrastructure portfolios. Oversees national budget, provides leadership, and supports 20+ projects from proposal through completion—ensuring Indigenous engagement, procurement, and workforce strategies are embedded across the full project lifecycle. Known for advising executive leadership and government stakeholders, shaping decisions in complex, high-profile, and politically sensitive environments. Brings deep experience across government, industry, and Indigenous partnerships, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and advancing inclusive economic growth.

Women Building Futures is a non-profit organization based in Edmonton, Alberta. Our mission is to empower women’s economic prosperity by removing barriers and providing industry recognized training in the construction trades, maintenance, transportation industries and more.

Reporting to the Director, Client Services this position is responsible for: • Innovative and systems-thinking solutions on a provincial level to improve the effective delivery of the Apprenticeship and Industry programs throughout Alberta • Investigations Unit of Peace Officers report to this position; ensuring accountability and integrity in program. Key Tasks: • Lead Investigation Unit for AIT Client Services—three Peace Officers that investigate compliance AIT violations, fraudulent activity within the Act, Regulation, and Criminal Code of Canada. • Stakeholders include: Crown Prosecutors, Alberta Justice, Private Vocational Training, Student Aid, Apprenticeship and Industry Training, Training Provider’s and other Jurisdictional Lenders.

Reporting to the Director of Industry and Government Partnerships, this position is responsible for: • Delivery of Employment Partnerships Program, the Climate Capacity Program, Climate Green Employment Program, and the Climate Capacity Program. • Contributes to ensuring the urban Indigenous peoples and organizations are active participants in the Alberta society, culture and economy by developing partnerships to achieve economic, social, environmental and labour market outcomes to maximize Indigenous Relations program investments, all while impacting the broader socio-economic and environmental goals of the Government of Alberta. Key tasks: • Manage Employment Partnerships and Climate Leadership unit, consisting of six grant managers. • Manage the relationship between Government of Alberta and Government of Canada to support Indigenous employment and climate leadership programming. • Identify Opportunities for cross-ministry coordination and collaboration. • Provide direction and guidance to staff on how to lead cross ministry initiatives.

Reporting to the Associate Regional Director this positions primary responsibility was: • Management of Trade Consultants, Support Staff (11 direct reports and 34 indirect reports) • Management of resources in the effective delivery of Apprenticeship and Industry programs in a large geographical and urban area. Key Tasks: • Manage 11 direct reports and 34 indirect reports. • Manage and lead 11 direct reports who deliver AIT programs and services ensuring accountability and excellence in work produced. • Engage multi-levels of government and industry on collaborative projects through the development of relationships. • Effectively promote apprenticeship and trades training by delivering targeted and relevant messaging. • Create and maintain a positive and productive relationship with industry stakeholders by being transparent and acting with integrity. • Ensuring fairness and diligence when dealing with compliance and legislation to ensure rulings can be supported in a court of law. • Provide a productive and safe work environment by ensuring staff needs are being met.
