Working in Dr. Imran Quraishi's neurology lab this semester, I will be looking into localizing area(s) of the brain responsible for GPDs during some epileptic seizures using intensive statistical analysis, MRIs, and EEGs. Therapeutic potential in being able to identify GPD rhythms before a seizure occurs.

Worked on maintaining relations with current clients and procurement of new clients in the healthcare environment. In charge of multiple teams throughout the club; working with the Red Cross, Mylon AI, CYSA, Nutmeg Health Futures, Connecticut Health Council, and Connecticut Department of Public Health. On the YHCC board and played a vital role in facilitating internal organization and management of a club that has increased its size threefold. Act as a representative for the club and I present at a variety of university meetings.

Worked in Dr. Jeffery Jones's lab in partnership between MUSC and the VA to capture in vitro the fluorescence and confocal microscopy images of the acceptance of BMM macrophage EVs into aortic fibroblast cells. My work was to confirm the mechanism of the lab's clinical proposal to attenuate TAA by facilitating the overexpression of miRNA-133a in aortic tissue to dampen MMP-1 expression. Under the purview of Dr. Ying Xiong, employed many common lab procedures on cell cultures and murine models, outside the scope of my own individual pursuit, like Western blotting, bone marrow extraction, tail-vein injection, and photospectrometry. Observed and aided in TAA induction and terminal mice surgeries. Presented findings during weekly lab meetings. Presented my research at MUSC's Research Day and won Young Investigator Award from the Lowcountry Center for Veterans Research.

The first half of this program worked with all types of public service agencies across the county, from Fire, Rescue, EMS, Law Enforcement, and Dispatch. Also worked with local community outreach programs like Habitat for Humanity, MUSC Children's Hospital, local soup kitchens, and the Charleston Animal Society. The second half of the program I solely worked with EMS, with 100+ hours of ambulance ride-alongs, where I played an active role in facilitating patient care. Patient Care Award and "Save Coin" recipient. Received certifications for IAED Emergency Telecommunicator and American Heart Association "Heartsaver," with CPR and AED capabilities.

Personal research project studying the relationship between running-related injuries and mileage in a cohort of 20 male high school runners. Partnered up with Irish start-up company Output Sports to utilize their innovative sensor, which measures various musculoskeletal outputs from exercises. Subsequent analysis of the thosands of data pointed to the creation of an effective training regime to minimize injuries in this largely understudied group.
