Ray Hedgpeth

I have more than 20 years of classroom teaching experience and use that experience to create zany, intelligent science music and videos with my band The Amoeba People. I co-produce and host The Amoeba People Radio Hour on KLBPfm with my co-writer/co-producer Ryan Mosley. The Amoeba People create humorous, scientifically accurate content in the form of songs, music videos and podcasts. We frequently collaborate with the scientific community, organizations such as the Planetary Society, The American Chemical Society, The American Geophysical Union, The Natural History Museum of LA County, the Columbia Memorial Space Center and many others. In addition to my educational work with The Amoeba People, I am also the music director for Captured Aural Phantasy Theater (CAPT), an LA and Chicago-based theater company that performs classic comic books live. I write original music for the group's online performances and perform with them live as well.
