Ray Brinkmanis

Born in Riga, Latvia, I’ve built a path that combines finance, tech, and a long-standing love for sports.With a background in finance and economics from Banku Augstskola, I started in banking sales and later moved into financial analysis, learning how businesses really work behind the numbers.In 2008, I moved to Spain to take on new challenges and grow internationally. I arrived without Spanish, built my way up, and today I work comfortably across markets and cultures (I speak Latvian, Russian, German and English, and I’ve added Spanish along the way).I then stepped into the tech world, leading projects in app development within a Norwegian-owned startup. Later, I led sales in Spain for an international marketing and data company, which sharpened my view on growth and execution.Sports have always been my constant. That’s what brought me into padel: first as Export Manager in padel court manufacturing, and later as Co-Founder & CEO of ALBA Padel Sports.Today we’re a bootstrapped team of 30+ people, growing internationally, and this June we’re moving into a new 5,500m² facility with a showroom.I care about doing things properly: being direct, being fair, and building for the long term — where “premium” means standards that last, not just a good first impression.
