The University Associates LLC was formed to enter into, with UA LLC as the tenant, a ninety-five year ground lease with NASA at the Moffett Field, California NASA Research Park (NRP). It is a partnership of several academic institutions including UCSC, Foothill-DeAnza, Santa Clara University.

Raised over $15 million in venture capital for Jareva, provider of automation software for cloud computing, from Hummer Winblad, Labrador Ventures and Jumpstartup in three rounds of financing. Customers included Dell and KPMG. Oversaw negotiations when Veritas acquired Jareva in 2003 for over $70 million. Managed many aspects of the company including budgeting, forecasting, overseeing legal contracts, managing IT, overseeing auditors and attorneys, ISO 9000 certification, and negotiating with vendors and customers. Acquired by Veritas/Symantec

Oversaw the company's growth from a team of four to over seventy people. Raised over $17 million in venture capital for PostX, an Enterprise Software company involved in secure, personalized one-to-many communication over email. Assisted in securing major customers including Schwab, JP Morgan Chase, and State Farm. Managed all aspects of securing initial funding by angels and leading the first venture round by the Mayfield Fund. IronPort/Cisco acquired PostX in 2007.
