Experience

Sales & Solutions Engineer
Sant Cugat del Vallès, Cataluña, España
Sales and Solutions Engineer specializing in logistics automation for warehouses and distribution centers. I help companies optimize their operations through cutting-edge technologies such as AMRs, AS/RS, and WMS/WCS platforms. I lead turnkey automation projects from initial analysis to implementation, managing projects for solution design and presales. These projects hands-on engineering with strong advanced deep supply chain analysis, using tools like Power BI, SQL, and Python to transform operational data into actionable insights that shape strategic decisions. Skilled in workflow analysis, process optimization, and KPI tracking to identify inefficiencies and drive Kaizen-based continuous improvement initiatives. I use AutoCAD to design high-performance, space-efficient intralogistics layouts aligned with each client’s operational goals. I provide technical-commercial support, translating complex logistics needs into practical automation solutions that align with business strategy. I’ve delivered successful projects across pharma, e-commerce, retail, 3PL, and industrial sectors, always aiming to connect technology, data, and efficiency to build future-proof logistics operations.

Industrial PhD candidate in MEMS/NEMS engineering
Cerdanyola del Vallès, Cataluña, España
PhD candidate in MEMS/NEMS engineering researching and developing electrospray based thrusters through micro and nanofabrication for IENAI SPACE at Centro Nacional de Microelectrónica (IMB-CNM-CSIC) facilities developing silicon-based MEMS as emitters for small satellites propulsion systems.

Project Manager
Cerdanyola del Vallès, Cataluña, España
As a Project Manager, I managed the development of a brand-new product from its initial design to pre-commercialization analysis in the sensor market, primarily for mobile devices. The product designs and proof of concept were created using CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, COMSOL Multiphysics, and MATLAB to define the desired characteristics. Data obtained from the analyses was processed to identify and improve the product's weaknesses. The product was manufactured through foundries, making communication and planning essential to meet deadlines effectively.

Process Engineer
Leganés, Comunidad de Madrid, España
As Process and Product Engineer, I managed the project in the design and manufacturing processes of MEMS, employed as electrospray thrusters, through micro and nanofabrication techniques for the industrialization of the devices. The design was done understanding the physics behind the system, employing tools such as AutoCAD/SolidWorks, COMSOL Multiphysics and MATLAB/Python for the simulations and calculations of the different mathematical models. Moreover, data processing was employed to improve the system through experimental analysis. Among these experimental analysis lifetime, microfluidics, chemical degradation analysis and ionic liquids performance were performed. The microfabrication was carried out employing differents processes such as photolithography, dry etching (RIE), wet etching, colloidal lihography, thin films deposition (PECVD, PVD, CVD, ALD), thermal oxidation and analysis techniques (SEM, EDX, XPS, confocal microscopy, film thickness measurement systems) in an ISO-2 and ISO-4 (Class 100-10000) clean room.

Graduated researcher
Cerdanyola del Vallès, Cataluña, España
I was a researcher in the NANOMOL group as a Grauated MSc researcher in the field of molecular devices, more precisely in molecular electronic transport analysis. The main knowledge adcquired in the laboratory was related with the fabrication of Self-Assembled Monolayers (SAMs) used as (bio)molecular devices to study the CISS effect. The devices were performed between the clean room, using PVD, and a controlled environment laboratory to attach chiral (bio)molecules to the substrate. An innovative technique, EGaIn (Eutectic Gallium-Indium) technique, was employed to measure the electronic transport through molecules by measuring the current between potentials. In addition, programming was employed using R to perform I-V curves.

Coatings & Thin Films Physicist Developer
Sant Cugat del Vallès, Cataluña, España
Coatings physicist at Horizons Optical in R+D department making thin films and nanocoatings in ultra-high vacuum deposition systems through PVD for ophthalmic lenses. Coating analysis, characterization techniques and use of Python and Matlab programming languages were also employed as simulation techniques in mathematical resolution.

Undergraduate Researcher
Barcelona, Cataluña / Catalunya, España
I worked as undergraduated researcher in the creation of a Python code to analyze data from a LiDAR based on Raman effect with the aim of get information about atmosphere composition and help to the Institut d'Altes Energies (IFAE) and the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) to study cosmic radiation. During the research I acquired knowledge about Raman effect, LiDAR systems, statistical corrections and Nd:YAG lasers among others as the research values.

Robotics Instructor
Agrupació Astronòmica de Sabadell
Sabadell, Cataluña / Catalunya, España
I worked as a teacher in robotics field in a course for young students. The task consisted in programming in Arduino and processing languages, circuit assembly initiation and making simple mobile apps with the objective of control a robot. In addition, I participated in different activities related with astronomy and astrophysics, such as planetary observations, conferences and an article in the Agrupació astronòmica de Sabadell's conference book.
Education

Ingeniería eléctrica, electrónica y de comunicaciones
PhD candidate in MEMS/NEMS engineering researching and developing electrospray based thrusters through micro and nanofabrication for IENAI SPACE at Centro Nacional de Microelectrónica (IMB-CNM-CSIC) facilities developing silicon-based MEMS as emitters for small satellites propulsion systems.

Advanced Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
My Physics degree has been complemented with a MSc in Advanced Nanosicience and Nanotechnology, with a speciallization in MEMS and microfabrication, shaping a new path in my scientific career. My interest in the semiconductor industry, including nanoscience and nanomaterials, increased during my degree through different subjects like Quantum Mechanics, Physics of Nanomaterials and Solid State Physics. This MSc has allowed me to acquire a job position at both, IENAI SPACE as MEMS/NEMS Process Engineer and at IMB-CNM-CSIC as an industrial PhD. The MSc thesis in "Gallium-based liquid metals as an alternative to traditional electrodes for studying charge transport through (bio)molecules" is based in the synthesis of self-assembled monolayers of organic molecules and the study of the CISS effect as a novel idea for (bio)molecular devices.

Física
Hi everyone! My name is Raúl, I am a Physicist, specialized in Applied Physics, from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. My final degree thesis in Physics radiation department was focused on the data analysis of the UAB RAMAN-LIDAR. The main objective of this analysis was to study how works this LIDAR and characterize Barcelona's atmosphere, with the final objective of use LIDAR to study cosmic rays.
