Plan, design, manage and monitor projects in agronomy, biodiversity, geology, irrigation, health and higher education.

* Mission: Develop and promote strategic action and innovative thinking so as to influence public and private decision-makers towards sustainable development. * Key functions: * Plan / manage the Biodiversity and Adaptation Programmes. * Create, coordinate and supervise a multidisciplinary team of 10 project managers in the fields of biodiversity (ocean and coastal management, economics of biodiversity and ecosystem services, international governance) and adaptation to climate change (adaptation policies, climate-induced migrations, international negotiations). * Fundraise from public and private donors: research agencies, private companies and foundations, international organisations, consultancies… * Co-chair the National multi-stakeholder working group on high seas biodiversity.

* Mission: Lead policy-oriented research on vulnerability and adaptation to climate change in Mediterranean coastal areas. * Key functions: * Manage a European project component, coordinate a multidisciplinary consortium and undertake field research. * Provide scientific support to IDDRI’s Biodiversity team.

* Mission: Revitalize and manage the UNDP-GEF biodiversity portfolio in Indonesia, in response to the Indonesian government’s needs and priorities. * Key functions: * GEF Focal point for Biodiversity, International Waters and the Small Grants Programme. * Build a strategic Biodiversity portfolio and support the development of GEF projects. * Launch and monitor the EC-UNDP Small Grants Programme for Operations to Promote Tropical Forests in Indonesia. * Design a project on sustainable mangrove management and shrimp farming in the Mahakam Delta, East Kalimantan, building on public-private partnerships. * Act as the Environment Unit evaluation focal point.

* Mission: Strengthen theoretical and practical foundations of Integrated Coastal Zone Management. * Key functions: * Undertake theoretical and field research in France and Madagascar. * Support the national programme on “Public participation, decision making and environment”: plan and organize a quarterly seminar gathering over 100 researchers and stakeholders; write and edit proceedings (15 sessions; 4 books published).

* Mission: coordinate the implementation of a 5-year, 13 million € project aiming at increasing the resilience of Pacific people and ecosystems facing climate change. * Key functions: * Design and supervise project activities in Fiji, French Polynesia, New Caledonia and Vanuatu, as well as at the regional level * Negotiate agreements and contracts with public and private project partners * Fundraise from a variety of donors to secure co-financing * Ensure appropriate technical and financial reporting to donors and steering committee members * Develop dissemination and communication activities at the local, national and international levels, especially in the context of climate change negotiations.
