Lead Project Manager looking after schemes in Asset Operations of South East Region.

I am on a secondment for the role of SPM. Leading PMO for South East in Asset Operations with National grid, UK. Responsible for scheme’s delivery, leading teams, governance and financial control. Liaison with principal contractors on resolving issues. Arrangement of services and resolution to bottlenecks.

Team member of Project management team in PMO at Sandwich, Kent. Mega project is NEMO Transmission Projects including DRCs., HV substations, HVDC and Operation Tripping Scheme etc.

Responsible for Business Development and Projects Management. Detailed activities include in subcontracting of MV and HV substation Project services: Dismantling, Installation, Testing and commissioning of SEC projects with multi-national companies like Siemens, Alstom/GE and ABB etc. At the same time solution providing to power and automation systems of industry in Western Region of KSA. Role Description: ● Business development to acquire new projects. ● Project management of acquired projects. ● Technical support in devising solutions to industrial problems. ● Achievement of annual strategic and financial goals of the department. ● Reporting to company management in monthly review meetings.

Worked in the technologies like Substation Automation Systems (SAS) and Static Var Compensation (SVC/ FACTS) from HV to EHV Transmission Line networks. Trained in SAS of Siemens in Germany with hands on experience of the details of technology. Project management of SVC in radial networks. One of the SVC projects in KSA was the largest of the world at 380KV i.e. +800MVAR and - 400MVAR capacity. Role Description: ● Project Management of SVC at Alkharj (+150MVAR, -30MVAR @132KV TL radial network). ● Site Management along Siemens Germany team of SVC Hiteen (+ 800MVAR, - 400MVAR @380KV TL radial network). ● Testing and Commissioning team leader for SVC Qassim (+400MVAR, -200MVAR @132KV TL radial network). ● Project Manager for SAS of Al-Kharj 132/13.8KV substation. ● Project Manager for SAS Quriyat 132/13.8KV substation. ● Team lead of Substation Automation Systems (SAS) group in ITC. SICAMPAS & SICAM PAS-CC training in Power Academy in Nurnberg. Later, hands on training in designing and Project Development in Erlangen, Germany.

As office manager of company business in regional office worked to lead teams of sales and project management for lower Punjab region of Pakistan. Role Description: ● Office Manager of newly established company regional office in Multan. Focused on business segments of power generation, textile, food & beverages, fertilizer, steel and cement companies etc. ● Leading and coordinating teams of sales, services and projects also conducted and coordinated presentations and trainings for clients and staff.

Founding team member of Water Technology of Siemens in KSA. Worked in details with Ministry of Water, Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) and Ministry of Agriculture and Water providing solutions to their problems in power systems and process automation. Role Description: General Process Solutions Department provided solutions for project’s technical problems. Activities included: technical solutions utilizing multiple Siemens and Non-Siemens product horizon. Sales, business development and project management activities were focused on following Siemen’s Products / equipment: - ● SIMATIC-S7 family i.e. 200, 300 and 400. ● PLC Programming through Step 7. ● Human Machine Interface WINCC. ● SIMOVERT and SIMOREG AC and DC Drives. ● Medium Voltage Switchgear Equipment i.e. NX plus, 8DC11, 8BK10 and 20 etc.  Power Transformers. ● High and Medium Voltage Switchgear. ● Low Voltage Switchgear SIVACON or equivalent. ● Low Voltage solutions to industry and customers. ● Project management functions for acquired projects. ● Our team started the segment of Water and Wastewater Systems first time in Siemens, KSA. All sort of new, replacement, revamping and maintenance jobs of automation and power systems came frequently giving diversification to solutions provided.

Carried out design and construction coordination and project management activities of Wadi-e-Jaleel (380/110/13.8 KV substation), Al-Mushrefah (110 / 13.8 kV substation, Jeddah) and Al-Naga (110 / 13.8 kV substation, Madinah Munawwarah). Coordinated project management activities between regional office management, head office, engineering department, client (SEC-WR), and different vendors of substation equipment, it also included the technical and commercial scrutiny / finalisation of quotations.

Worked on base and detail electrical design of process industry of Pakistan. Worked in joint venture of KSH, Montreal, CANADA. Worth mentioning projects like CICL Winder, Baluchistan and FJFC Bin Qasim, Karachi. Role Description: Carried out Electrical System Designing and later on Proposal coordination and Business Development assignments in line with management goals. Coordination with Head of engineering services, proposal managers of different disciplines in engineering services and numerous clients from all over the world. Detailed job responsibilities included following:- ● BOQ estimation of Electrical related jobs (cabling, cable trays, lighting, earthling, lightning protection, cathode protection etc.) and coordination of BOQs from other disciplines. ● Carried out Power System Design for Crescent Industrial Chemical Limited (C.I.C.L) Project with Zimmer AG, Germany. Involved in generation of electrical single line diagrams, preparation of equipment and cable’s technical specifications. ● Carried out Power System Design for Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM) project with ENGRO Paktank Ltd. ● Carried Out Implementation of Detailed Design on Site for Fauji Jordan Fertilizer Complex (FJFC) project in joint venture with Klockner Stadler Hurtler, Canada. Involved in utilities design implementation activities.

Field services and providing of solutions to electrical problems of Industry in Punjab. Role Description: ● Worked as Service/Commissioning Engineer for troubleshooting of different industrial installations on behalf of Siemens Lahore. ● Commissioning of Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Switchgear, Motors and Transformers. ● Troubleshooting of MDBs and MCCs control using their schematics. ● Worked as Construction Engineer for Installations of different industrial setups on behalf of Siemens Lahore.
