Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago has, since its inception in 1985 as a research and policy center, focused on a mission of improving the well-being of children and youth, families, and their communities.We do this through policy research—by developing and testing new ideas, generating and analyzing information, and examining policies, programs, and practices across a wide range of service systems and organizations.Chapin Hall takes a broad perspective, embracing an interest in policies that promote the well-being of all children and youth while devoting special attention to those facing significant problems.

Built a positive community in residence halls through informative bulletin boards and educational and social programs. Served as an academic and social resource, facilitated conflict resolution between roommates, and was a positive role model to 43 ethnically diverse residents by demonstrating appropriate behavior. Planned, advertised, and implemented passive and active programs to residents based on the six Loyola University Jesuit Values. Enforced and followed University conduct policies and addressed conduct issues and medical emergencies during rounds as well as documented and followed up with residents. Worked with peer RA’s and supervisors with frequent communication and collaborations. Assisted with administrative tasks such as health and safety inspections, residence hall opening and closing, and reported facilities work orders.
