I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey in 1983, immediately after graduating from college, starting MANI SALES (BANGALORE)—an electrical trading business—from a modest paying guest accommodation. Armed with little more than determination, hard work and an unwavering belief in creating value, I took my first steps into the electrical industry.In 1990, I founded LOAD CONTROLS India Pvt. Ltd., a switchboard manufacturing company, operating from a 100-square-metre shed with a team of just eight people. Those formative years provided me with invaluable insights into the complexities of switchboard manufacturing and ignited a passion for continual improvement. I constantly asked myself: How can we make panel building faster, smarter, safer and more efficient?The answer revealed itself during a visit to Singapore, where I encountered a modular electrical enclosure system that completely changed my perspective. Inspired by its simplicity and versatility, I returned to India with a vision—to develop a world-class modular enclosure platform that would transform the way switchboards are designed, manufactured and assembled.That vision became Modutec Ready Panels Pvt. Ltd., founded in 2007. Thereafter in 2025, I gave up my control in both the above Companies and decided to focus and build full time the MODUTEC idea. Today, Modutec has evolved into one of India's most extensively type-tested modular switchboard enclosure platforms, with more than sixteen IEC 61439-1 & 2 certifications across six leading global switchgear brands. Our solutions are trusted by panel builders and OEMs across India and around the world, with approximately 40% of our production exported to Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and Africa, with expansion into additional global markets underway.Beyond manufacturing, our mission is to simplify panel building. Through strategic partnerships, licensing programmes and OEM branding collaborations with multinational switchgear companies, we are helping customers improve productivity, quality, safety and sustainability.To further complement our ecosystem, we established Electrotec, our subsidiary dedicated to intelligent power distribution solutions, including the MODGRL range and complementary accessories.My aspiration is not merely to build successful companies, but to leave behind a legacy of engineering excellence, principled leadership and meaningful contribution—demonstrating that an Indian enterprise can shape global standards while remaining deeply rooted in integrity, humility and service.
