An outreach and recruitment plan is critical to the success of the 5050 Challenge. This work will drive more female-identified applications to the school, as outlined in the 5050 Road Map to gender parity.

The summer research program is now entering its second year, and provides an awesome opportunity for young women who have completed Grade 11 to gain first-hand experience about the diverse fields of engineering and science, and student life at York University, during the months of July-August. The main task and responsibility of the Summer Research Program Coordinator will be to administer the summer research program.The coordinator will meet daily with the student researchers during the 8-week program to confirm schedules, track progress, assist with weekly time reporting and provide informal and regular mentorship.
