I joined the Royal Bank of Scotland Prime Services Division and was immediately assigned onto a major project to implement a new Prime Billing System. Operating within an Agile/Scrum framework with responsibility for the design and development of the new solution, working alongside another Developer, Business Analyst and reporting to the Project Manager. In addition to implementing the new billing system, designed a new UI prototype for rules based self-referencing trading data solution. Developed highly effective new billing system, enabling business to take on new customers. Volunteered to produce complex UI prototype and presented to UI Team based in Barcelona Initiated performance tuning, improving processing times through multi-threading.

I worked for ECM providing development and 2nd line support services for their ECM Trading Desktop Suite of systems applications. Designing and developing new bespoke applications including Trade Order Requests and Issue Monitoring Tool, exceeding user requirements and expectations. Achieved 50% increase in productivity of trading team through re-engineering reporting. Developed new Daily Pricing Alerts application to alert trade floor of pricing movements

* Fulfilled dual role as Lead Architect for a new generation of CUSP applications taking it from VB6 to a C#/VB.Net (2.0), and also provided 3rd line support services to both the front and back office functions. * Provided rapid VB and Excel/VBA solutions to Fixed Income Quants and Researchers. * Nominated to provide 2nd line support to the Portfolio Risk and CDO Risk applications. * Completed successful CUSP Platform migration with challenging 1 month timescale

Joined organisation to design and build a multi-tier Capital Structure Analysis solution (APIs) for Equities Research using Visual Basic and VBA. Provided a solution which combines past and present daily pricing data from Fixed Income (Bonds) and Equities sources. Market leading project with a high profile within DB and clients, delivered on time and within budget.

* Performed key leadership positions heading up various teams for Scania Finance GB, migrations from VB4 to VB6 and RDO to ADO; acting as a coach and mentor across all team members. * Senior Analyst Programmer on the Daimler Chrysler Capital Services Solution. * Full lifecycle project control including leadership at code reviews, work stream allocation, QA & testing. * Resident expert on compatibility, troubleshooting and 3rd party software issues.
