Senior Buyer for Steel Commodity of WIND Division and handling both import and local procurement.  Developing reliable & capable forging and machining suppliers with help of sourcing and quality team to meet our demand and commercial aspects.  Supplier capacity mapping based on our customer demand & capacity of reliable suppliers.  Creating purchase orders and updating their confirmation through electronic confirmation methods.  Daily, Weekly & Monthly handling of Exemptions to prepone, postpone & to expedite the deliveries based on demand.  Complete responsible for Buying Gears, Forgings, Axles & Pitch tubes from Globally with co-ordination of Logistics & Clearance agent.  Monitoring and reporting supplier performance by recording their deliveries against our requirement & by means of monthly and quarterly supplier audit.  Ensuring on time delivery by close expediting through weekly meeting and supplier visit whenever required.  Taking Mitigation action to fulfill our monthly target if any pandemic situation, delivery failure, vessel delays etc.  Ensuring zero harm culture by instructing suppliers about EHS policies and requirements inside our factory.  Maintaining the Non-conformity cost (NCC) & Supplier Failure rate (SFR) with our target limit by getting corrective from suppliers for quality complaints.  Tracking of Import orders separately from Buy to payment process to have smooth supply chain.  Doing ABC analysis to reduce our inventory level.  Co-Ordinator of process control for our Wind procurement department by reporting Lisek correction, Supplier delivery reliability monthly.  Checking feasibility for conversion of obsolete or excess stock into other usable components to reduce the inventory level.

#Creating the purchase orders based our customer demand, technical requirements and lead time of the product & made the vendors to deliver on time with co ordination of cross functional department (Planning, Quality, Finance & Stores). # Coordination with local commodity managers for assigned commodity (Small parts, Forgings, OSS & Dressing kits) to achieve localization of new & existing gear box model (Suzlon, Gamesa & Acciona). # Ensure on time delivery of vendor to meet Supplier Delivery Reliability > 85% by taking and monitoring weekly open order reports, Monthly Lisek report & Monitoring the major exemptions in SAP like 15 (Reschedule out), 20 (Cancel process), 07 (Finish date in past), 10 (Reschedule in) & 30 (Plan process according to schedule) in case of new DCN (Delivery change note). # Handling with more than 50 vendors (Both import and local) for Wind and SGU projects and had regular follow up with them to achieve on time delivery and any had discussions with them technically to sort out the quality issues and clarifications. # Tracking both import and local parts until the releasing of payment to the vendors & also handling the sub contracting components by sending the components to the respective vendors and follow until delivery. # Preventing the quality issues with co ordination of Quality team to achieve the targets like Supplier Failure Rate (SFR) < 4000 PPM & Non Conformance Cost (NCC) < 0.38%. # Co ordinate with Forwarder & Customs clearing agent for Customs clearance. # Ensure High Risk Activities should not be allowed without mitigating the risk to acceptable level. Ensure risk level in enquiry stage and initiate proper approval & ensuring the requirement of EHS for vendor visit, Rework / Job work requirements & other processes. # Achieve & Maintain order Backlog < 10% & maintain order confirmation > 95%. Also vendor inventory management is monitored and maintained to meet the fluctuations of Customer demand.

# Development of small steel parts of Standard Gear Unit (SGU) project on suitable vendor as per strategic procurement. # Developing shaft, bush, housing cover of gear box which are using in drive applications. # Developing small steel parts of wind gear box supplying to Suzlon and Gamesa. # Sending housing machining drawings to appropriate vendors and making price comparison and negotiation. # Pre accessing the new vendors and their capabilities before go for vendor code creation. # Follow up of some development castings & special steel parts. # Preparing charts, graphs and reports to compare various parameters of vendor like delivery performance, price comparison with other vendor. # Raising DC request to move material for machining from in house to vendor and follow for approval and transport.

# Buyer for casting, forging, stem, seat, seal, and all other components of ball valve. # Overall Coordinator for project orders (Export orders / Special orders) from inquiry stage to dispatch stage. # Maintaining customer purchase orders in ERP by entering the sale order. # Material planning for both domestic and export orders. # Making purchase orders as per the requirements. # Making job orders and delivery challan (DC) for sub contractors for machining process. # Accessed Purchase, Marketing, Planning, Sales, and Stores domains in ERP. # New development of castings and maintaining the special documents (RT reports / film, Test certificate, Sample inspection reports, DPI, PMI & MPI Reports) to get approval from QC for samples. # Making invoices to deliver the products to our customer (M/s Flowserve). # Updating the customer order status by review with concern department and communicate to our customer through mail. # Prepared quotation file with breakup for new products to get approve from the customer. # Preparing monthly sales and purchase reports to submit to our Manager and Management. # Sending mails and making calls to vendors for status and follow-up of pending orders. # Maintained sales file, purchase order files (Both Customer and Vendor). # Sending mails to customer if any design problems and to clarify the Special / Technical requirements.
