1. Researching markets to identify opportunities for events; 2. Liaising with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements;Producing detailed proposals for events;Securing and booking a suitable venue or location; 3. Ensuring insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to; 4. Co-coordinating venue management, caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire; 5. Planning room layouts and the entertainment program, scheduling workshops and demonstrations; 6. Organizing facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality and press; Identifying and securing speakers or special guests; 7. Co-coordinating staffing requirements and staff briefings; 8. Selling sponsorship/stand/exhibition space to potential exhibitors/partners; 9. Arranging accommodation for exhibitors and/or delegates; 10. Preparing delegate packs and papers; 11. Creating, implementing and monitoring marketing and PR plans; 12. During events, constant communication with the host on-site is maintained to ensure everything runs seamlessly. Collaborating with housekeeping ensures that the facility remains clean and tidy throughout the event. This position involves maintaining detailed reports for management regarding each event held. When necessary, the Banquet Captain may step in to work the floor, serving as a server or bartender. Additionally, guest complaints are addressed, and the authority to refuse alcoholic beverages to intoxicated customers is held. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
