About
Mechanical Engineering undergraduate at IIT Goa with a strong interest in robotics, compliant mechanisms, and optimization-driven design. I enjoy working on problems where the solution is not obvious at the start and must be discovered through iteration, experimentation, and engineering judgment. My work spans mechanism design, robotics, and hands-on system building under real-world constraints. At my core, I’m driven by curiosity to solve problems—both in tangible mechanical systems and abstract design spaces. I’ve found that meaningful innovation often emerges through exploration and iteration rather than rigid, fixed plans. This mindset shaped how I learned engineering: theory truly came alive when applied to hands-on projects that exposed the gap between ideal models and real system behaviour under practical constraints. This naturally drew me toward robotics and mechanism design, where performance depends on how well uncertainty, flexibility, and trade-offs are handled. Along the way, I became deeply involved in the campus workshop ecosystem, serving as Club Head of Motorsports, a Core Member of the Electronics and Robotics Club (ERC), and a Core Member of Grafiko (Graphic Design). These roles strengthened my ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate technical ideas clearly to diverse audiences. This philosophy was most clearly reflected in my B.Tech project on compliant mechanisms—flexible mechanisms that achieve motion through elastic deformation, with strong relevance to micro-robotics and precision systems. I developed a method capable of both path and motion synthesis by computing candidate link dimensions for mechanisms designed to follow specified trajectories. Using a MATLAB-based parametric framework, modifying target points and applied forces generated feasible mechanism candidates evaluated against application-specific constraints. This reduced the initial mechanism design cycle from several months to approximately 15–20 days, enabling rapid iteration before detailed refinement. I also participated in the SPARC program (Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration), gaining exposure to semiconductor fabrication through cleanroom training at IIT Hyderabad and an on-site phase at Purdue University (USA). I am currently based in Bangalore, working as a Robotics Intern at Velankani, translating design intent into robotic systems under industrial constraints. If you enjoy building intelligent machines, exploring unconventional design spaces, or pushing robotics beyond rigid mechanisms, I’d love to connect.
