I am Rahul H Kumar, currently a MS in Robotics student from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. Growing up, it was always a fascination to learn how robots - those magical gadgets that came to life at a press of a button and did tasks without human intervention, worked. This interest has always been fueled by the passion to do work that adds value to the human society. In an effort to communicate this inspiration and connect with like minded individuals, I have made this collection of projects, research and experiences. Research Assistant

• Responsible for building PX4 based rovers and quadrotors on Jetson boards, integrating IsaacROS and IsaacSim and implementing safety critical optimal control strategies. • Generated ESDF maps using Realsense D455 and Nvidia Visual Slam package. • DBSCAN clustering algorithm was implemented to generate observation maps to be given as input to MPC-CBF and kinodynamic RRT*.

• Was the primary contributor for the tele-operation stack and oversaw robot camera calibration tasks. • Designed a PID controller to follow optimal paths generated by dynamic A* paths avoiding obstacles on sidewalk, while using Extended Kalman Filter for state estimation.

Student Member- RVCE chapter
• Participated and volunteered in various seminars organized by the society and was a moderator in the event ”Know your mentor”. • Organized PathFinderz Robotics Challenge as a collaboartion between Astra Robotics and RAS, IEEE.
