Rahul Gupta

Rahul is a Partner with KPMG’s Cyber Security practice, with over 17 years of experience at KPMG, leading multiple engagements to assist Fortune 500 companies with making the most of their people, processes, technology, and controls. Rahul has extensive experience assisting clients across industries, in delivering major programs with the objective of deploying Cyber protection and resilience measures. He has led multidisciplinary teams of Business, Information Technology and Cyber Security professionals. His areas of expertise include Cyber Security governance and strategy, Cyber Security risk identification and evaluation, Cyber Security maturity assessments, Cyber Security architecture, compliance to standards and regulations, Crisis management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, Privacy protection, Cyber Security penetration tests exercises, Third party risk assessments, Benchmark and evaluation of Cyber Security practices. Rahul also has significant experience of risk & controls which includes implementing new internal control over financial reporting (ICOFR) environments, executing SOX 404 testing programs, performing IT internal audit projects and assisting KPMG India external audit teams with efficient and effective testing of internal controls. Rahul has worked with clients across industry sectors including energy (Oil & Gas, Electricity Generation), Government, IT & ITeS, Telecom and financial services (Banking & Insurance) & has worked across geographies in the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam on a number of key assignments. In his current role, Rahul leads the Cyber focus for KPMG in Government sector with a focus on domestic and high growth markets overseas. Rahul holds a Masters degree in computer science. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
