As an Associate Buyer in the Agribusiness Division of ITC Limited, I was responsible for procurement, inventory management, and quality control of key agricultural. commodities such as wheat, maize, and paddy. My role involves end-to-end coordination from sourcing to dispatch, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with quality and documentation standards. Key Responsibilities: ●Procure agricultural commodities (wheat, maize, paddy) from farmers, traders, and stockists at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards. ●Conduct quality checks using warehouse testing equipment (e.g., moisture meter, HL machine) to ensure materials meet quality specifications. ●Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, stacking, and maintaining accurate inventory records through SAP and manual documentation(GRN, DO, STO, STR) ●Plan and execute dispatches to processing plants and traders based on Delivery Orders (DOs) while ensuring timely and error-free logistics. ●Perform periodic stock reconciliations and assist in monthly physical verification (PV) audits conducted by external auditors. ●Oversee fumigation and CHR (Cleaning, Handling, and Rebagging) activities to maintain stock hygiene and prevent infestation. ●Supervise rake unloading operations — recording wagon details, quantity, and bag count accurately.
