I teach courses on Ethnic and National Conflicts; Geo-Politics of Afghanistan and Central Asia and International History. In addition i also direct a Centre on Afghanistan Studies at the University.

Raghav Sharma is a doctoral candidate at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy. His doctoral research focuses on the question of Managing Ethno-political conflicts in fragile states, with Afghanistan being the area of engagement.He holds a graduate degree in History from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi and in International Relations and European Studies from the Central European University, Budapest. Prior to enrolling as doctoral candidate he has worked as a Research Officer for the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies where he published extensively on issues of strategic importance for Afghanistan. From January 2010 he worked and traveled extensively across Afghanistan in his capacity as an International Humanitarian aid worker. He is presently affiliated as Research Analyst with the Kabul Center for Strategic Studies, Kabul and also teaches in the Good Governance Afghanistan Program at the Brandt School. I have taught in the Good Governance Afghanistan program at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy. My other Masters courses at the school have focussed on looking at ethno-political conflicts and exploring institutional responses in deeply divided societies.

Task: Research, proposal writing and coordinating with field team in Kabul and provinces for the Youth development project

As program officer i was entrusted with the task of overseeing the development, monitoring and implementation of Girls Education project and the Children's Rehabilitation Center. My work involved regular visits to project sites for monitoring and evaluation and conduct of regular meetings with project field staff as well as community members involved with the project. Additionally i liasoned regularly with project donors, prepared project progress reports, developed project proposals and along with my colleague participated on behalf of the organization at the UN Education cluster meeting in Kabul.

I along with my colleague oversaw successful implementation of both the mentioned projects leading to the extension of both projects for yet another phase. Particularly notable was our achievement of extension the girls education project in Nangarhar and Laghman provinces with support from the local community which ensured successful project implementation and none of our project schools being targeted by any Armed Opposition Groups. This was also shared with other colleagues at the UN Education cluster Meeting in Kabul. My job as an international humanitarian worker contributed immensely to evolution of my thought process by providing me an unusual window into everyday life discourses in Afghanistan
