Radhika Sarda

The primary focus of this position will be preparing street tree designs for projects located in Seattle. Responsibilities include developing street tree layouts using Land F/X, submitting plans to SDCI for review, and revising plans based on feedback from SDCI’s Urban Forestry Department. Additional work may include Green Factor compliance projects, ECA mitigation designs, and other landscape design tasks within the Seattle area.

Responsibilities include: Attend class to assist students and provide feedback during in-class activities Help maintain and update the course Canvas page. Respond to student messages on Canvas and via email as needed Hold weekly office hours for student support or course-related tasks. Grade assignments and quizzes Potentially teach class sessions in the instructor’s absence.

- Assisted in developing a CD set from concept to construction document. - Provided support for software, technical detailing, and representation inquiries. - Graded assignments and held office hours to assist students with their queries.

- Provided front desk customer service, assisting with plotting, printing, and IT tasks across the college building. - Resolved technical issues, answered software-related questions, and offered design suggestions for effective printing.

- Worked under landscape architects, on various landscape projects from concept to construction. - Spearheaded a terrace landscape design project from concept to construction stage. - Helped with presentations and attended client meetings. - Helped in developing office CADD standards. - Gained exposure to addressing client needs and site management.

- Worked with a leading landscape firm in India within a small team in Mumbai, directly under project managers. - Developed designs for plotted developments, villa placements, and landscape planning for the site. - Contributed to grading plans and final construction document sets for residential landscapes. - Coordinated with clients via emails and calls. - Assisted in cleaning and organizing survey drawings and architectural plans.

- Hired to design a sales office and a 2-acre mixed housing scheme, later handed over to a local liaison architect firm for further development. - Collaborated remotely with a partner architect, while spearheading client meetings as the primary design architect.

- Primarily worked on a biodiversity park project, gaining exposure to planting design and bioretention pond construction and design. - Assisted with the construction set for the biodiversity park. - Worked remotely for most of the tenure due to COVID restrictions. - Helped in establishing office CAD standards. - Collaborated closely with the principal landscape architect in a small team environment.

- Worked on a villa landscape design project, focusing on concept drawings. - Completed the entire construction document set for the Prateek Terrace landscape design project. - Assisted the senior landscape manager in site visits and documentation. - Gained valuable experience in planting design and presentation drawings.
